Better performance for maximum operation

Angular contact Ball Bearings Manufacturer

VDObearings of angular contact ball bearings have the inner and outer raceways displaced relative to each other in the direct on of the bearing axis. The contact angle is the angle between the lines connecting the ball and raceway contact points in the radial plane, along which the combined load is transmitted from one raceway to the other, perpendicular to the axis of the bearing.

The angular contact ball bearings offered by VDObearings commonly begin with 70, 72, 73, and 74 for a single row and 30, 32, 33, and 38 for a double row. The single row has three contact angles 15°, 25°, and 45°, special also has 708/600, 70860, and other expressions.

The following is a small part of our company’s bearings, we also provide various types of Angular contact Ball Bearings, if you need please contact us, and we will provide you with a special salesman to communicate with you.

Introduction

Angular contact ball bearings are suitable for carrying synthetic loads, they work at higher speeds while carrying radial and axial loads. Axial load-carrying capacity increases as the contact angle increases. Contact angle for the ball’s radial plane and raceway contact point line and the bearing axis between the angle of the vertical line.

The types produced by VDO include: single-row, double-row, and four-point angular contact ball bearings.

Single row angular contact ball bearings

Single-row angular contact ball bearings can only bear the axial load in one direction. And it can only limit the axial displacement of the shaft or housing in one direction. Single-row angular contact ball bearings can be loaded with more steel balls so that the bearing has a higher load capacity. Angular contact ball bearings have contact angles of 15°, 25°, and 40°, with suffix codes C, AC, and B, so they can bear larger axial loads. Single-row angular contact ball bearings include two types of non-separated and separated types. In order to increase the bearing capacity, the shoulder on one side is machined lower, so that the bearing can fit more balls.

Double row angular contact ball bearings

Double-row angular contact ball bearings have the same design as two back-to-back configurations of single-row angular contact bearings but occupy less axial space. Double-row angular contact ball bearings generally use a nylon cage or brass solid cage. Double-row angular contact ball bearings should be installed with care, although the bearing can withstand two-way axial load, if there is a ball loading gap on one side, take care not to let the main axial load through the side of the groove edge.

Four-point contact ball bearings

Four-point contact ball bearings are single-row angular contact ball bearings with raceways. The specially designed raceways can withstand axial loads in both directions. In the case of fixed axial load, it can also withstand a limited radial load. This bearing is separable in design, the outer ring assembly of the steel ball and cage can be installed separately and independently, and the axial space occupied by four point contact ball bearing is much smaller than the double row bearing.

Main Uses

  • Single-row angular contact ball bearings: machine tool spindles, high-frequency motors, gas turbines, centrifugal separators, small car front wheels, differential pinion shafts, booster pumps, drilling platforms, food machinery, indexing heads, welding machines, low-noise cooling towers, electromechanical equipment, coating equipment, machine tool slot plates, arc welding machines
  • Double-row angular contact ball bearings: oil pumps, Roots blowers, air compressors, various transmissions, fuel injection pumps, printing machinery, planetary reducers, extraction equipment, cycloidal reducers, food packaging machinery, welding machines, soldering irons, square boxes, gravity guns, wire strippers, half shafts, inspection and analysis equipment, fine chemical machinery

Angular contact bearing installation precautions

The service life of angular contact ball bearings has a lot to do with the installation, let me introduce the following precautions for installation.

  • The bearings should be installed in a dust-free and clean room.
  • the bearings should be cleaned before installation, cleaned with the inner ring slope facing upward, sensed flexibly by hand, dried, and put into the specified amount of grease.
  • the bearings should be installed with special tools, with even force, and knocking is strictly prohibited.
  • The bearings should be stored in a clean and ventilated place without corrosive gas and with relative humidity not exceeding 65%.

Maintenance methods

  • Removing all the bearings when they run to a certain period.
  • Clean the bearings with diesel oil or kerosene soaked for cleaning, if there are technical conditions, it is best to open the seal cover for cleaning;
  • Air dry cleaning oil after cleaning, appearance check for damage.
  • with 150mm or so, the diameter of the angular contact ball bearing inner diameter equal to the wooden rod, one end fixed a bearing;
  • After fixing the bearing, poke the stick horizontally to check whether the bearing is worn or loose;
  • Take a bucket to melt the appropriate amount of grease with a civil fire, and the tested bearing into the bucket soaked until no bubbles overflow. Determine the amount of grease residue as needed.
  • Wipe off the grease outside the bearing with soft cloth or toilet paper and assemble the VDO bearing to the pulley as it is, then the maintenance work is finished.
