Introduction of thrust ball bearings

Thrust ball bearings are designed to withstand thrust loads at high speeds and consist of a washer-like collar with a raceway groove for ball rolling. Thrust ball bearings are divided into one-way thrust and two-way thrust according to the force situation.

Single direction thrust ball bearings

  • Single-direction axial ball bearings are separable bearings.
  • It consists of a combination of a shaft ring, housing ring, ball, and cage.
  • It is easy to install and disassemble. The collar that fits tightly with the shaft is called the shaft ring, and the one with clearance from the shaft is called the seat ring.

Introduction of thrust roller bearings

Thrust roller bearings are used to bear axial load mainly shaft, and radial combined load, but the radial load shall not exceed 55% of the axial load. Compared with other roller bearings, thrust roller bearings have lower friction, higher speed, and aligning performance.

Cylindrical roller thrust bearings

  • Thrust cylindrical roller bearings can withstand heavy loads and vibration loads without difficulty.
  • These bearings can withstand very large axial loads in one direction, but cannot withstand radial loads, and they do not have self-aligning capability.
  • Thrust cylindrical roller bearings can be disassembled into thrust cylindrical roller and cage assemblies, shaft rings, and seat rings.
  • Thrust cylindrical roller bearings can use polyamide cages, light metal cages, or brass cages.

Tapered Roller Thrust Bearings

  • Axial tapered roller bearings can form a very compact configuration in the axial direction.
  • Can withstand very heavy axial loads and has good rigidity.
  • The raceways and rollers ensure optimum stress distribution in the bearing, thus extending the bearing life.
  • The rolling surface can be purely rolling, and the limiting speed is higher than that of a thrust cylindrical roller bearing.
  • Thrust tapered roller bearings with cage are of split design.

Spherical Roller Thrust Bearings

  • Thrust spherical roller bearings are the same as spherical roller bearings.
  • The seating ring raceway surface is centered on the point with the center axis, the bearing is spherical type.
  • With a self-aligning function, it is not very sensitive to coaxiality and shaft deflection.
  • The axial load capacity is very large, and can also withstand the radial load.
    The cage generally uses a brass solid frame and stamping frame.
